BRIN index

A BRIN index stores small summaries for consecutive physical page ranges. It works best when column values follow the table's physical order, helping PostgreSQL skip ranges that cannot match a query.

CREATE INDEX name ON table USING BRIN ( column ) [ WITH ( pages_per_range = number ) ];
