What you will learn
  1. Encapsulation protects invariants; abstraction hides details.
  2. Polymorphism lets new behaviour plug in without editing callers.
  3. Prefer composition to deep inheritance trees.

Pillars, translated

Encapsulation means an object guards its own rules: a BankAccount never lets the balance go negative because only its methods change it. Abstraction exposes what an object does, not how. Inheritance reuses behaviour; polymorphism lets different objects answer the same message in their own way.

Interviewers rarely want textbook definitions; they want examples of how these ideas keep code changeable.
